To raise the awareness about suicide prevention and promote mental health among students
" "World Suicide prevention week" was organised from (10-16 september) Under the " Lets
talk" campaign initiated by Directorate General of health services.
Special assembly was organised by Gandhi house under the able guidance of Principal Shallu
Gupta.
Ms Manju made the students aware about theme of Sucide prevention day- "Changing
narrative on Suicide"
She told students about importance of mental health and well being among children and
adolescents these days.
Various activities were organised to strengthen awareness and support for mental health
and Suicide prevention.
Interactive session was organised for classes (7-12) in which science department motivated
them to reduce stigma around mental health and encourage open conversations.
They were guided to talk Feely with their teachers, parents and peers about issues such as
fear related to studies ,career or any other troublesome matter.
Senior students participated in essay writing activity on " World sucide prevention day"
And expressed their views about pressures faced by them in Adolescent period which becomes
cause of stress and detoriating mental health.
Students of Middle department create posters and slogans to spread awareness about Suicide
prevention.
Students were also counselled in classes by class teachers about mental health and well
being.

Motivated the students to discuss their problems and issues of stress freely with their
parents,elders and teachers to have stress free life .
